We just got back from a design market in Graz, and the energy there was incredible. But one conversation kept coming up - quality. Whether it’s someone buying their first pin or a shop owner looking for a new collection, the question is always - “Will this actually last?”
We’ve built PinTonik on the idea that handmade shouldn't mean fragile or poor quality. Too often, we hear people point at obvious mistakes and say, “Yeah, well, it’s handmade.” No! To us, "handmade" should mean it’s the absolute best our hands can produce. It’s a mark of excellence, not an excuse for a messy finish.
That’s why we refuse to shortcut our process. While it would be easier to just coat the front and call it a day, every single piece we make is fully protected.
We don’t just resin the front to give it that 3D glass shine - we seal the back, too. By encasing the hand-painted balsa wood from both sides, we’re creating a waterproof shell. It’s a lot more work, but it makes every piece "adventure-proof." For our shop partners, this is a game changer. It means you’re selling jewelry that is rain-ready and shower-proof - pieces your customers can actually live in without worrying.
When you see the PinTonik brand out there - whether it’s us at a market or our backing cards on a boutique shelf - you’re seeing a product that was engineered, not just "made." From the premium grade resins we source to our new high-power UV setup, every upgrade in our studio is there to make sure PinTonik stays the toughest wooden jewelry on the market.
